What a FANTASTIC book for stay at home moms. She's witty, intelligent, a mover and shaker and also dedicated to staying at home with her kids.

I struggle as a career driven woman but one who also had a heart and conviction to stay at home with her kids. This book is helping to provide the direction and encouragement I need that it's all worth it!5/5(1). This book talks to homemakers as "home professionals" and digs deeper into the concept of stay-at-home moms as still being part of a workforce.

I really enjoyed this encouraging perspective, especially since it was written by a woman who once was a non-home /5. This book it a bit outdated statistics-wise, but the true message and all the essays from moms accross the country can really lift up your spirit and make you feel supported in your decision to stay home:) There is even a whole section on how many moms manage to bring in an income working from home a few hours a week, or a few days a year/5(10).

Even though I only gave this book three stars, it's one that I continue to think about a lot. It's not an incredible work of scholarship or an insightful treatise on "educated" women making the decision to stay home with their children, but what it did provide me with, even almost 30 years after it was written and all the children referenced in it are probably grown with children of their own /5.

However I only had to read the first few pages of the sample I’d downloaded before I realised that I had chanced upon a life changing literary masterpiece/5.

This is a fantastic book, I recommend it to any woman who is pregnant or is contemplating staying home with her is a wonderful resource for women who are sick and tired of having former co-workers ask them what they do all day.

And for women who have been told they are too smart to be wasting themselves at home.5/5(5). Buy What's a Smart Woman Like You Doing at Home.
